The scope of this project is quantifying the deformation of rocksalt and its influence on the structural evolution of fold and thrust belts. Geoscience research group focusing on structural interpretation using methods like analogue modelling, fieldwork, remote sensing (UAV based) coupled with creation and interpretation of virtual outcrops.
The research group (led by Dr. Dan M. Tamas) is based in the Research Center for Integrated Geological Studies, Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania and performs most of the work from the Structural Modelling Laboratory.
